About Us The Farringtons Grove Historical District has many opportunities for residents to become actively involved. Consider serving on one of our three task forces, including Infastructure, Trash, and the Security, Crime, and Code Enforcement groups. Or consider serving on a committee or even coordinating one of our regular events, including our annual block party, FarringtonFest, our Garden Club and Tour, the Holiday Home Tour, or our semi-annual neighborhood clean-up. Please contact us at FGHDassoc@gmail.com to volunteer or learn more about the many opportunities available to serve. Farrington's Grove Historic District Terre Haute, IndianaFarrington's Grove is the oldest surviving neighborhood in Terre Haute, Indiana. The district encompasses an area from 4th Street to 7th Street and from Poplar Street to Hulman Street with more than 1100 homes and other buildings that exhibit a variety of architectural styles, including elegant nineteenth and twentieth century houses, workers' cottages, some twentieth century apartment buildings, a few churches, schools, and public buildings.
The welfare of the district is supervised by Farrington's Grove Historic District (FGHD), Inc. comprised of volunteer residents whose mission is to guide and promote the preservation and restoration of the historical district. Recently, several residents of the neighborhood have collaborated on establishing a plan for the future of Farrington's Grove Historic District. |
